Where to buy Noguchi lamps?

Hello!

I would like to buy a Noguchi lamp (Akari 1AD Table Lamp) in a physical shop, but I cannot find it anywhere!

Do you know where to find it?

Thanks!

honestly the Akari 1AD is one of the trickier ones to find in person since most shops stock the bigger pendants. i'd check the Otsuka Kagu flagship in Shinjuku first, they keep a decent Noguchi corner and can order the exact model if its not on the floor. also worth knowing the 1AD gets restocked more around spring, so timing matters.

The Vitra store in Aoyama usually has Akari lamps on the floor, though stock on the 1AD specifically comes and goes. If they're out, try the Living Motif or IDC Otsuka locations in Shibuya, they carry Noguchi pretty regularly.

If you're open to secondhand, the Noguchi shop inside the Ozone building in Shinjuku sometimes has Akari pieces, and the staff there actually know the model numbers so you can ask for a 1AD directly. Prices run a bit under retail and condition is usually good since they're display models from the attached gallery. Worth calling ahead, they don't restock on any fixed schedule.

Disco 2000 in Tokyo: what's the crowd like in 2026?

fmd_goodDisco 2000 · #tokyo #night #disco
Coming to Tokyo in spring 2026 and Disco 2000 keeps popping up on my feed. Is it more of a retro night or a proper mixed crowd? Also wondering if u need to book ahead on weekends or can just show up. sound system there is properly good, they push the lows hard so bring earplugs if you're staying late. also check the event calendar before u go, some nights are private bookings and the door stays shut. cash for the cloakroom too, coin lockers nearby fill up.

It's a proper mixed crowd these days, not just a retro theme night, and weekends at Shibuya's Disco 2000 fill up by 11pm so I'd message them on Instagram ahead.

Agree on the mixed crowd, though the room skews younger after 1am when the last trains are gone and the real dancers stay. Weeknights you can usually walk in before midnight, door staff are pretty relaxed about it.
