Where can I get my laptop cleaned in tokyo?

And for roughly how much does anyone know? And for roughly how much does anyone know?

another angle nobody mentioned: chain electronics shops aside, the cleanup counters inside some Don Quijote and Loft locations actually take small electronics for basic dust service, tho turnaround is slower and its more of a send-out thing. for a laptop specifically i'd rather go to the PC repair corner at a Tsutaya or a shop in Akiba's Radio Kaikan building, they quoted me 3500 for a full teardown on an old Vaio including new thermal pads. bring cash and go before noon, after lunch the queue gets silly

check the small computer shops inside Nakano Broadway, the ones on the lower floors do walk in dust cleans for like 2500 yen and theyre usually done in an hour or two. different vibe from the big chains, more like a guy at a bench with an air compressor. also worth asking at your local koban-adjacent denkiya if you just need vents blown out, some do it for a thousand yen if you buy a can of air from them

Worth knowing that most of what gets called "cleaning" is just compressed air through the vents, which does almost nothing once dust has matted onto the heatsink fins. If your machine is more than two years old and running hot, ask specifically for 分解清掃 (teardown cleaning) and confirm they'll pull the heatsink off, not just blow at it.

For a genuinely different option, the PC repair counter at Sofmap in Akihabara does a proper teardown for around 6000 to 8000, but the real value is they'll swap the thermal paste and pads as part of it rather than as an add-on. Turnaround is usually two to four days, so it's not a walk-in thing.

If you're handy at all, honestly a tube of thermal paste and a screwdriver gets you 90 percent of the result for 1000 yen. Laptop teardowns are fiddly the first time, but there are teardown guides for nearly every model on YouTube, and the dust situation is usually worse than you'd expect once you're in there.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
