🏞️ Explore Cimahi Waterfall
Cimahi Waterfall, known locally as Curug Cimahi, is a stunning 87-meter waterfall located in the Cisarua area. The entrance fee is around IDR 20,000 for domestic tourists and IDR 50,000 for foreigners, open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM. To get there, take a minibus from Cimahi Station to Cisarua, then walk about 15 minutes. The best time to visit is during the rainy season when the water flow is strongest.

πŸ›οΈ Discover Pusdiklat History
Pusdiklat, or the Education and Training Center of the Indonesian Army, is a historic military complex in Cimahi. Guided tours are available on weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM, but you must book in advance through the official website. The architecture dates back to the Dutch colonial era, and the museum inside displays military artifacts. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

🍜 Savor Local Street Food
Cimahi's street food scene is vibrant, especially along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. Try the famous batagor (fried fish dumplings) at Batagor Riri, open from 10 AM to 8 PM, with prices starting at IDR 15,000. Another must-try is sate maranggi at Sate Maranggi Cibungur, which opens at 11 AM and closes at 9 PM. For dessert, look for pisang molen (fried banana in pastry) sold by vendors near Cimahi Market.

πŸ›οΈ Shop at Cimahi Market
Pasar Cimahi is the city's main traditional market, located on Jalan Pasar. It opens as early as 5 AM and closes around 5 PM. Here you can find fresh produce, local snacks, and affordable clothing. Bargaining is expected, so start at half the asking price. The market is a 10-minute walk from Cimahi Station.

🌳 Relax in Taman Cimahi
Taman Cimahi, or Cimahi Park, is a green space in the city center on Jalan Raya Cimahi. It's open 24 hours and free to enter. Locals come here for jogging, picnics, and evening walks. There are also food stalls around the perimeter selling snacks like siomay and es kelapa muda.

🎨 Visit Cimahi Creative Hub
Cimahi Creative Hub on Jalan Baros is a space for local artists and makers. It hosts workshops, exhibitions, and markets on weekends from 10 AM to 6 PM. Check their Instagram for the latest schedule. Entry is usually free, but some workshops charge a small fee.

πŸš‚ Ride the Local Train
Cimahi Station is a stop on the Bandung Raya commuter line. A train ride to Bandung takes about 20 minutes and costs IDR 5,000. Trains run from 5 AM to 9 PM. It's a cheap and scenic way to explore the region.

πŸŒ„ Hike Mount Burangrang
For outdoor enthusiasts, Mount Burangrang offers a challenging hike with rewarding views. The trailhead is in Cimahi's northern outskirts, and the hike takes about 4 hours to the summit. Start early, around 5 AM, to avoid the heat. Bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are no vendors on the trail.

Good writeup, this covers more than most Cimahi guides I've seen. One correction though, Curug Cimahi is in Cisarua, Bandung Barat, not Cimahi city itself, so plan for the extra travel time.

If you're up for something the list skipped, the Situ Leutik area out toward Cibeber is worth a look, it's a small lake with warungs around it and hardly any tourists. Go late afternoon when the light hits the water, and grab some bandrek from the stalls nearby.

solid list, though a couple things i'd adjust. Curug Cimahi is technically in Cisarua which is more Bandung Barat than Cimahi proper, so if you're basing yourself in Cimahi it's a bit of a trek, maybe 40 min by angkot. For the waterfall itself, go on a weekday morning, weekends get packed with jakarta plates and the parking situation is chaos. Also bring sandals, the steps down get slippery as hell after rain.

One thing missing: the pasar antri barat area near Pusdiklat has some good surabi and kopi. way less touristy than Sudirman.

Nice breakdown. One thing I'd add about Mount Burangrang is to sort your permit and guide before you go, the trailhead registration near Cisarua gets strict and you can't just show up at 5 AM hoping to wing it. Also the last stretch before the summit is proper scrambling, not a walk, so wear shoes with grip and don't attempt it after heavy rain. Did it last year and the view over the Bandung basin was worth every bit of the ache.

Kolonel Masturi No. 88), open until 11:00 PM, for a relaxed atmosphere.

🌿 Day 2 Morning: Cimahi Nature
Begin day two at Cimahi Waterfall (Curug Cimahi) in the Cisarua area, about 30 minutes by car from central Cimahi. The entrance fee is Rp 20,000, and it opens at 7:00 AM. Wear comfortable shoes for the 300-step descent to the waterfall. From Cimahi Station, take angkot 02 to Cisarua (Rp 8,000) and then a short ojek ride (Rp 15,000) to the entrance. Bring a light jacket as the mist can be cool in the morning.

🍜 Day 2 Afternoon: Local Eats
After the waterfall, have lunch at Saung Kabayan (Jl. Kolonel Masturi No. 210), a Sundanese restaurant with a garden setting. The nasi liwet with salted fish and fresh vegetables costs around Rp 45,000. It's open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Then visit the nearby Cimahi Agro Tourism (Jl. From the mall, an angkot to Melong takes 10 minutes for Rp 5,000.

🚌 Day 3 Morning: North Cimahi
On your final day, explore North Cimahi starting at Padasuka Market (Pasar Padasuka) on Jl. Padasuka, open from 5:00 AM. Try the traditional kue (cakes) like kue lapis and bolu for Rp 5,000 each. Then take angkot 03 to Cimahi North Terminal (Terminal Cimahi) in about 20 minutes for Rp 6,000. From there, walk to the nearby Taman Cimahi (Cimahi Park) on Jl. Raya Cimahi, a good spot for a morning stroll.

🎨 Day 3 Afternoon: Art and Departure
After lunch at Warung Nasi Ampera (Jl. Raya Cimahi No. 150), known for its ayam goreng (Rp 20,000), visit the Cimahi Batik Center (Jl. Cibabat No. 45) to see artisans at work and buy souvenirs. A batik shirt costs from Rp 150,000. The center is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. From there, it's a 15-minute angkot ride (Rp 5,000) back to Cimahi Station for your onward journey. solid writeup, the angkot details are actually right which is rare for these guides. one thing i'd add: the 300 steps down to Curug Cimahi are the easy part, coming back up will wreck you if you're not used to it, so go early before the heat hits. also fwiw the warung nasi around Pasar Atas open way earlier than 5pm for the daytime crowd, if you want sate maranggi without the night market chaos just go around 11am.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

the itinerary's pretty thorough, but one thing it misses is that Cimahi is a military town so a lot of the good food spots are near the Pusdikar and Pusdikpal areas, not just the touristy streets. if you're there on a weekday around lunch the warteg near Jl. Gatot Subroto are packed with soldiers and the food is cheap and good, like 15k for a full plate. also the angkot 01 route is fine but honestly ojek apps work in Cimahi now so you dont have to deal with the h

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

A few corrections worth making before you commit to this plan. Museum Pusdikar has been closed for renovations for a while now, I'd call ahead before heading over because the hours listed online don't reflect the current situation. Also Curug Cimahi isn't actually in Cimahi proper, it's up in Cisarua which is Parongpong territory, so your angkot 02 from the station will drop you at Cimahi's northern edge and you'll need that ojek leg you mentioned, but budget more like 25,000 now since the road up has gotten worse and drivers charge accordingly.

The strawberry picking at Cihanjuang is seasonal, best around June to September, so depending on when you're visiting in 2026 you might just be walking through empty rows. If that happens, the tea plantations around Cisarua are a better bet and free to wander.
