What's the beer situation there, do they do flights or just pints, and is it worth a stop or should I look elsewhere for craft stuff? 🍺

andheri east side has some good taps now, check the breweries near chakala metro before u commit to a cab ride

hops hall does flights of four, but for proper craft stuff i'd cab to Lower Parel, the breweries near Kamala Mills are better

Bandra's Pali Hill taps beat both, quieter too.

Second this, but go before 7 or the good taps run dry.

yeah timing matters more than people think. i usually swing by around 5 on weekdays, gets u first pour off the fresh kegs. weekends its a diff story, even 6 is pushing it.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

If you're near the Phoenix side, the taproom at Juhu is worth the 20 min ride, quieter and better pours than most.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

agreed, go early evening before the after work rush

weekday 4pm at the latest honestly

Image kristiane local ·

true, but even early evening fills up fast on fridays so maybe aim for right after they open

Fair point, though that Juhu taproom gets packed on weekends so go right when it opens.

Old Market Hall Mumbai: safe to walk at night in 2026?

Is that stretch okay after dark or should I just take a cab? Also wondering if the market area itself is worth a daytime wander or if it's mostly wholesale stuff.

lohar chawl side gets sketchy after 10:30, cab it

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down
Image leniknecht local ·

yeah agreed, cab it for sure, but the daytime market wander is actually worth it if u go before noon when it's still buzzing

10:30 is generous tbh, that stretch past the Crawford side gets empty by 10

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Even before that, the stretch past the veg wholesale godowns gets dead quiet and the footpath is broken, so just cab it.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Those godowns are the real problem, the stretch past them toward the nullah has no proper streetlight and stray dogs sit around the rubbish bins. The footpath tiles are half missing so you end up walking on the road anyway. Just take the cab.

Cab from Pydhonie junction, that bit's worse.

past that bit toward the masjid the lanes get tight & unlit so keep to the main road. cab's still the smart call tho
