Dr. Shefali Trasi in Bandra takes insurance but consults run 1500-2000 cash, and she sees recurring cases on Saturdays at Lilavati.

also carry ur old prescriptions and photos of flare ups, she asks for the timeline & it saves a whole follow up visit

Photos of flare ups, yes, dated ones especially.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

cash counter closes by 5, card machine iffy

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

she books up fast so call the clinic near Khar station a week ahead, walk-ins get turned away by 11am

insurance only covers the lilavati opd bit, not her clinic visits

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Good to know about the Saturday thing. Does she actually run the Lilavati OPD herself or is it a junior? I've heard mixed things about whether you get her or a resident on those days.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

honestly most clinics in Andheri are cash only, so ask before you book or u'll get surprised at the counter.

Clinic at Pali Naka, UPI works fine there.

Image annemarie local ·

yeah true, but a few of the newer setups off Link Road do take UPI and even card now. just call ahead and confirm, half of them say cash on the phone and then surprise u with a QR code at reception

Old Market Hall Mumbai: safe to walk at night in 2026?

Is that stretch okay after dark or should I just take a cab? Also wondering if the market area itself is worth a daytime wander or if it's mostly wholesale stuff.

lohar chawl side gets sketchy after 10:30, cab it

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down
Image leniknecht local ·

yeah agreed, cab it for sure, but the daytime market wander is actually worth it if u go before noon when it's still buzzing

10:30 is generous tbh, that stretch past the Crawford side gets empty by 10

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Even before that, the stretch past the veg wholesale godowns gets dead quiet and the footpath is broken, so just cab it.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Those godowns are the real problem, the stretch past them toward the nullah has no proper streetlight and stray dogs sit around the rubbish bins. The footpath tiles are half missing so you end up walking on the road anyway. Just take the cab.

Cab from Pydhonie junction, that bit's worse.

past that bit toward the masjid the lanes get tight & unlit so keep to the main road. cab's still the smart call tho
