Nonno's pizza Mumbai 2026: what does a cook there earn?

I'm weighing a pizza cook gig there against my current one in Bandra and trying to figure out if the pay covers rent and travel in this city. Would help to hear real numbers instead of guesses.

honestly kitchen pay at most Bandra spots sits around 18 to 22k for a commis, a bit more if you're on the oven full time. Nonno's is in that band from what I hear, maybe 25k with tips on a good month. rent eats most of it unless you're sharing. factor in the daily local from wherever you stay, that's another 800 odd a month. fwiw the current gig might beat it on travel alone

oven cooks clear 28k at the Powai one

Check if they cover meals and shared staff housing, some pizza places in the city do and that changes your math a lot. Also ask about the service charge split, it can add a couple thousand a month on busy weekends. Without those the base alone is tight.

Image kavitad local ·

service charge split is real but nonnos runs mostly delivery so its smaller than a dine in place, dont bank on it

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Image annelies local ·

Shared staff housing is rare at delivery heavy places like Nonno's, so the meal and rent math probably won't work in your favour.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

yep, delivery kitchens skimp on housing, but their Lower Parel outlet does give one meal plus a 1.5k travel allowance monthly.

Meal's one plate, not three. Math still tight.

One plate still leaves you buying dinner out, and a vada pav plus chai near most outlets runs 60 to 80 a day.

fair but that single plate is usually rice or roti with dal, so you're still shelling out for the sabzi side yourself

ask about the diwali bonus, thats the real money

Old Market Hall Mumbai market work pay 2026

fmd_goodOld Market Hall · #vendors #market #rent
anyone here work stalls at Old Market Hall? trying to figure what vendors actually pay helpers per day in 2026 & whether it covers rent & food in the city. curious what the going rate is now anyone here work stalls at Old Market Hall? trying to figure what vendors actually pay helpers per day in 2026 & whether it covers rent & food in the city. curious what the going rate is now

Bhendi Bazaar side, cash daily.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image annelies local ·

Cash daily yes, but no food or chai included.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image mona local ·

yeah but the rate drops when its slow season

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image nicole local ·

Daily cash works there but the stalls near the masjid lane dock about 50 rupees off if you turn up after 9am.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Heard the same, though most of those stalls shut by early afternoon so morning is when you want to show up.

Crawford Market, not Old Market Hall. 400 to 600 a day.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image ines local ·

700 for loading work, 200 less for counter boys.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image kristiane local ·

sounds about right but loading guys at the hall also get baksheesh from traders on top of the 700

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Fair rate for the area, though the fruit side near the vegetable gate tends to pay a bit more than the dry goods stalls. Most helpers I know also get a meal thrown in, which matters when rent alone eats half the pay.

arrow_drop_up 8 arrow_drop_down
Image janette local ·

the fruit side pays by the crate not the day, so slow weeks hurt more
