What's the wifi situation like and are there quieter hours where you can actually open a laptop? Also curious how people here handle overlapping with European or US time zones, do folks just work late nights at bars or cafes?

true, and the wifi there is solid once it does open, but you'd be nursing one drink while the bar staff hover

Staff hovering is real, but they loosen up if you order food too, and the mezzanine upstairs stays quieter for laptop work.

Right, the 6pm licensing thing settles it. If you're chasing Europe hours, the practical move in this city is early mornings at a Colaba cafe before the heat and traffic hit, then calls from home in the evening.

kala ghoda cafe & the table do daytime laptops but for euro calls i just work from home till 8 then head out

Rhythm House lane has a couple of smaller cafes that stay quiet till noon, better than Kala Ghoda for a call.

the table gets loud after 4 when the colaba office crowd lands, so mornings are ur real window there. for us calls i do the reverse, sleep till 10 and work till 2am from home. bombay house in fort is another quiet option till noon

the glazed is fine but the chocolate old fashioned is the real one to get there. go before 11am, they sell out & the later batches sit around. honestly i prefer the plain cake donuts at the bakery near bandra station for half the price
