foreign visa usually works at proper bars but parijath type places can be hit or miss with the machine, so keep 2-3k cash on u. upi as a tourist is honestly a hassle without an indian number, just use ur card & cash

Agree on the cash buffer but 2-3k might be light if you're doing rounds, drinks at these places run 400-600 a peg now. Also the machine often "isn't working" during peak hours, so pull cash before 8pm.

good point on the machine thing, the swipe usually dies right when the place fills up. tbh just walk to an atm on the same street before you sit down, most of em near the bar strip work fine at night.

Even the machine working doesn't mean much, ask for a charge slip and check the amount matches the menu before you sign.

Skip UPI entirely, it needs an Indian number and the tourist variants are more trouble than they save. Just make sure the card you carry is a Visa or Mastercard, Amex gets refused at plenty of these places.

the glazed is fine but the chocolate old fashioned is the real one to get there. go before 11am, they sell out & the later batches sit around. honestly i prefer the plain cake donuts at the bakery near bandra station for half the price
