Best loose leaf tea in Mumbai near Steeped?

Anyone found a shop in the Fort or Colaba area with a better range of oolong in 2026? I like Steeped but the queue on Saturday mornings is genuinely painful.

Sancha Tea Boutique off Colaba Causeway stocks a decent Dan Cong, and weekday afternoons there are dead quiet.

Second this, go before 11am on weekdays

their heritage oolong runs about 600 for 100g, cheaper than that darjeeling and better value tbh

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

yeah weekday arvos are the move, just check they've got stock coz the oolong shelf runs thin by thursday sometimes

Restocks Tuesday, so Monday is the risk.

Colaba's out of my way on weekdays but I'll keep it in mind for the next stock run.

Are there regular things like board game nights or running clubs around Bandra or Lower Parel where a new person can just show up alone? Looking for something weekly, not a one time event.

The Khar Social crowd does a Sunday board game thing from 4pm, mostly regulars who'll pull u into a table. Also check the Bombay Hiking Club meetups, they post on Instagram and rotate trailheads.

For running, the Bandra chapter of Mumbai Road Runners meets Saturday mornings near Carter Road around 6am and they genuinely absorb solo newcomers. Board games at Creeda in Lower Parel draw a steady Wednesday crowd. Just show up, no RSVP needed.

Agree on the running thing. One catch: MRR gets packed during marathon season (Jan), so show up early or u'll be trailing the pack. Also check the Andheri chapter if u live north of the highway.

Creeda moved their board game night to Thursdays last i checked, worth calling ahead before u trek there

tbh last time i passed by it was back on Tuesdays, so def call before u go. also they sometimes skip a week when there's a private booking.

Back to Wednesdays since March, i think

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

one thing on the running side, the group usually splits into pace groups after the warmup so u won't get dropped on day one. they also do a shorter 5k loop for beginners. tbh just introduce yourself to whoever's handing out the route plan.
