How's the wifi around there, and do most places have plug points or is it bring your own battery kind of situation?

Third Wave on Turner Rd, plug points at the back tables.

Image milli local ·

yeah the back row is the only spot worth taking, and the wifi drops near the counter so grab a seat early before the 11am laptop crowd

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Image maxie local ·

plug points are mostly type c now, carry ur own cable

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Mostly type C yeah but a few older spots still have the fat 3 pin, carry both

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Image emily local ·

yep and the small usb c ones dont fit the older sockets, carry an adapter

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

The back tables get taken by 10, so come before the school rush on the lane, and the cold brew is worth the extra sixty rupees.

Kofuku on Linking rd, weekday mornings

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

weekday mornings work but they start dimming lights around 7 so plan ur sit early

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Their upstairs section is quieter for calls but the AC gets freezing by noon so carry a layer

Image merlinde local ·

Kofuku's the one with the tiny 3 pin sockets, carry an adapter

the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal stretch on Dr Ambedkar Road gets mobbed during Ganeshotsav, so plan darshan outside those ten days

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image sylviak local ·

Ten days is optimistic, try the whole fortnight.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

locals call it babulnath not local house btw. gates open around 5.30am for the morning aarti so 6 is fine, closes midday roughly 12 to 4 then reopens till about 9 or 10pm. monday is the big crowd day, avoid it. tuesday & saturday mornings before 8 are the calmest, hardly any queue for darshan

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image kristiane local ·

tuesday morning is right but skip the poonam & amavasya dates, those pull a crowd whatever the weekday. also leave ur shoes at the stand near the main gate, they dont let u up barefoot past the steps

arrow_drop_up 17 arrow_drop_down
Image adelinefor… local ·

Good shout on the shoe stand. Just carry your own bag for them since the counter charges per pair and the queue there gets longer than the darshan line on festival days. Poonam dates fall on different weekdays each month so check the Gujarati calendar before you plan.

Fair point on the name, though the afternoon shutdown shifts a bit during Shravan and Navratri when it stays open through the day.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image gila local ·

Chowpatty side gate is quieter than main one.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Image isabelle local ·

yeah and the evening aarti around 7 is when it gets packed again

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image kristiane local ·

monday rush is really the sunday overflow, so sunday evening after 8 is dead calm too

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image isabelle local ·

Gates actually shut closer to 8.30pm on regular days, that 10pm only applies during Margashirsha.
