their kouign amann is the one i keep going back for, caramelised properly & not too sweet. the bandra outlet gets packed after 6 so go early morning. honestly the trip is worth it if ur already on that side, not worth crossing town just for pastry tbh

Second this, Pali Naka side entrance avoids the queue.

6pm is when office crowd lands, 8am is dead

Fair, though I'd skip the weekend entirely.

the almond croissant is what i'd go for, way better than the plain one. bandra store's closed on mondays fwiw so dont waste the trip. if ur near lower parel the phoenix one is easier to reach.

Phoenix is a decent shout but the kiosk there has a smaller range, no kouign amann last time I checked. Bandra branch is worth the extra effort if you want the full case. Monday closure is real, learned that the hard way.

almond one sells out by 11am fwiw

Kouign amann at Bandra goes quicker than the croissants, so call ahead before you make the trip across town.

call ahead is smart, worked for me on a Sunday

Image genia local ·

yeah the lower parel one is way easier if ur coming from town side, just expect a queue at lunch. one thing though, their seating is tiny so its mostly grab and go. what time do u usually hit it?

Mumbai noise complaints in 2026: what actually works

Does calli… Living near Foodland in Andheri, the late-night delivery trucks and generator noise have become a real problem, and I'm wondering what actually works for noise complaints in Mumbai in 2026. Does calling the BMC ward office or the police helpline get results, or is it mostly about documenting with recordings and following up in person? Curious how others near busy markets have handled construction and traffic noise without losing their minds.

the mhada colony side has less truck traffic, so try recording from ur window at 2am with a timestamp app

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image annemarie local ·

timestamp app is smart, but cops only act if the clip shows the truck plate clearly, so get closer to teh gate.

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Image emily local ·

mhada side is quieter for sure but the trucks still cut through the internal lane around 3am. honestly a cheap mic near the window picks up more than a phone does, and the plate shows up better on video than audio.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

foodland side is brutal for night trucks, ward office works better if u go in person with a log than calling the helpline

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Agree on going in person, the K-West ward office on SV Road responds better when you have dates and times written down. Ask for the nuisance inspector directly, not the front desk. Also log a complaint on the BMC portal so there's a reference number to chase.

night helpline is useless after 11

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down
Image lidia local ·

yep past 11 it's basically dead, better off calling the ward ka nuisance inspector directly next morning

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image marlis local ·

going in person is the only thing that moved it for me. keep the log to truck plate numbers & timing, they act faster on those than vague noise complaints. ask for the ward nuisance inspector's direct number while ur there so u skip the helpline next time

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

generator noise needs a fire dept noc check too

K-East side, near the station, same thing
