datar nagori is near jogeshwari so i'd say head to the cafes around link road instead, a flat white runs 180 to 250 now

Link Road's a trek from Datar Nagori, try the Jogeshwari station side.

Fair point on the pricing, though I'd say 180 is optimistic now, most spots sit closer to 220 and up. Wi-Fi is the real gamble, so test it before you settle in.

Agree on price but Andheri West side has better laptop-friendly cafes than most Jogeshwari spots, worth the extra ten minutes.

Andheri West is fine but half those laptop cafes fill up by nine, so scout the side lanes off the main drag first.

Ten minutes is optimistic once you hit the highway at 9am, so I'd stay station-side and grab a filter at the Irani place instead.

The area around SV Road has a few quieter spots, and expect around 200 to 280 for a flat white.

City Market Mumbai grocery prices 2026: fair or tourist tax?

fmd_goodCity Market · #market #prices #almonds
I was quoted 400 rupees for a kilo of almonds at a stall in City Market, which felt steep compared to what I pay back home. Is that the normal 2026 rate or was I being given the visitor price? city market is crawford market btw

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah crawford market is the wholesale side, the retail stalls along the main road are where they quote u the tourist price

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

400 for a kilo of badam is actually not wild in 2026, wholesale badam is running 700-900/kg depending on quality so 400 sounds like the cheap mamra type, not tourist pricing. the real tourist tax at crawford is on stuff like saffron and cashews, where they quote double if u look unsure. walk to the back lanes near the fish section for the actual rates
