Menu prices at The Indian Baithak Mumbai 2026

What should I realistically expect to pay per person for a thali or a full meal there, and are there any charges added on top that visitors usually don't see coming?

Skip the thali and order a la carte, the portions are generous and you'll pay closer to 900 without the extras.

A la carte works out cheaper only if you skip the drinks, the lassi alone runs 250 and pushes you past 1,100.

900 only if you skip the kulfi

Around 1,800 with taxes, service charge extra.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Yeah that's about right, though the 1,800 usually already includes GST at most places. Watch the service charge, it's often slipped on separately.

Image franka local ·

Service charge varies wildly here, some places slap 10% on and a few sneak in a 5% "convenience fee" at billing.

Image janette local ·

the 5% convenience fee thing is real, check ur bill

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image janette local ·

1,800 feels high for walk in tbh, last i paid closer to 1,400 & that was with gst already baked in

Ask for the menu card with prices before ordering since many places here quote one rate and bill another.

Best all day breakfast near The Daily Plate Mumbai 2026?

fmd_goodThe Daily Plate · #coffee

Anyone… I stay two lanes off Linking Road and The Daily Plate has become my default for a late breakfast, the eggs and filter coffee are dependable and it's easier on the wallet than the Bandra places. Anyone know if they've changed their weekend hours for 2026, I showed up at 8 last Sunday and the shutters were still down.
arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Weekend shutters go up at 8:30 now, so 8 was just early, not closed.

Image irmelie local ·

yeah 8:30 on Sat too not just Sunday

arrow_drop_up 10 arrow_drop_down

good to know, was gonna try a weekday next

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Monday is the odd one, they open at 9 not 8:30. Kitchen takes another 15 min after that so don't bother before 9:15 if u want a hot plate.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image marlis local ·

sat is the busier one tbh, sunday you can stroll in

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

sunday's the safer bet

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image catrin local ·

yep but the kitchen's slower to fire up on sat mornings, my eggs took ages last time so go a bit later

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image biggi local ·

They also shut early around 3 on sat

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

fair enough, that explains it. fwiw the 8:30 thing only starts once the bread guy shows up, so some mornings it's closer to 8:45. don't bank on it being exact.

Same for public holidays, they follow the later timing.
