Working from Mumbai 2026: internet and coworking near Foodland

Also, how do people handle the time difference with Europe or the US, do you just work late nights or split your hours?

Foodland is Andheri East, by the way, so factor the metro line into your commute. Internet is decent on Jio and Airtel fiber, but ask your building about backup power since monsoon outages still happen. For full days I'd take a proper coworking desk over a cafe, the noise around there gets old fast. On Europe hours most people I know start early morning and knock off by afternoon.

Jio's the shaky one in monsoon, ask about a diesel genset

Fair point, though in my building the inverter kicks in before the genset does, so check both.

Worth asking whether the genset actually covers your flat or just the lobby and lifts, plenty of buildings only wire the common areas. Also check the changeover time, since a 30 second gap kills a call. What building are you looking at?

ask if the genset has an AMF panel, otherwise someone has to be home to flip the switch when it trips at 2am

yeah the early start thing is real, most folks I know are done by 3pm and then hit the gym

metro line 1 to marol is the one that matters

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Second this. Marol cafes get brutal after lunch.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

true, the Marol stretch near the station clears out by 4 but the AC places on Chakala road hold up better past lunch

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

the US side is the killer, i'd split hours and take a 6pm to 10pm block rather than pretend one schedule covers both

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 111 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
