Milan Punjab in Mumbai, worth a visit in 2026?

fmd_goodMilan Punjab restaurant · #food #mumbai #andheri
Staying near Andheri next month and Milan Punjab keeps coming up for north indian food. Is it actually good or just convenient for locals? Any dish i should order first? only went once while crashing in andheri, the dal makhani was genuinely good but the butter chicken felt like it was coasting on reputation

Agree on the butter chicken, but the dal makhani is the actual order.

yeah the butter chicken is mid, it survives on the old punjab name. next time ask for the dal makhani with extra tadka & a lachha paratha, that combo is why ppl keep going back

their chicken biryani is the sleeper order

the butter chicken thing tracks, most ppl order it out of habit. next time get the amritsari fish or the keema kaleji, those are the ones regulars actually ask for. also go before 8pm on weekdays, the wait after that is rough.

butter chicken is what everyone orders out of habit there, the regulars barely touch it. dal makhani with a lachha paratha is the move, and their keema kaleji is solid too. ask for the fish on a good day

thats exactly it, the reputation does the selling while the kitchen coasts. next time just get the dal with a plain tandoori roti and skip the rest.

Sarson da saag, winter only.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

True, saag only shows up around December and disappears by February. Off season their makki di roti and dal makhani is what you fall back on. Ask the server before ordering it though, sometimes they run it early.

tbh I'd skip the queue and just do a takeaway thali, better value. order teh paneer tikka masala first if u go.

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 118 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
