how to get to The Spot mosque in Mumbai 2026

visiting soon and trying to work out the easiest way to reach The Spot near Colaba, is it better to take the train to Churchgate and walk or grab a cab from the station? also is there a decent window… visiting soon and trying to work out the easiest way to reach The Spot near Colaba, is it better to take the train to Churchgate and walk or grab a cab from the station? also is there a decent window in the afternoon that avoids the biggest crowds

2pm to 4pm, after Friday namaz clears.

sundays it's a different scene entirely, big rush from noon onwards so stick to a weekday if u can. also skip the 4 to 6 slot, that's when the causeway side gets jammed with office crowd heading home

good shout on the weekday thing, and honestly post 7pm is the calmest window once the causeway crowd thins out

im pretty sure the mosque itself is closed to visitors during that afternoon slot so u'd only be seeing it from the lane outside

Churchgate, walk via Shahid Bhagat Singh Rd.

Yeah that's the easy way, it's only about a ten minute walk from the station. Just keep in mind the lane gets tight with traffic near the market, so a cab would crawl anyway.

walking also lets u dodge the cab fare haggle near the station gate

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 105 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
