Best wine bars in Mumbai near The Cellar 2026

fmd_goodThe Cellar · #wine
Coming to Mumbai for a few days in 2026 and The Cellar keeps popping up. Is it worth the trip or should I look at other wine spots nearby? Also hows the pricing compared to other places in the city Coming to Mumbai for a few days in 2026 and The Cellar keeps popping up. Is it worth the trip or should I look at other wine spots nearby? if ur staying south bombay side, skip the trek to the suburbs. try the tasting room at kala ghoda, small place above the gallery, they pour by the glass from 6ish & the cheese board is decent. expect 700 to 1200 a glass, which is honestly par for a proper wine bar here. cocktails cost the same so ngl just drink what u came for

tasting room's solid but book ahead on weekends, walk-ins get turned away by 7:30 & the good by-the-glass pours run out

Agree on the by-the-glass timing but those 700 pours are mostly the cheaper end, the good stuff runs 1500+ so budget accordingly.

Bandra talks, 8pm onwards on bandstand side

bandstand side meaning near Bandra Fort end? I always confuse which stretch of the promenade people mean. good to know they open late, most spots there shut by 11ish on weekdays.

The Cellar's overpriced, try Woodside Inn instead.

Pali Village Cafe, way better vibe.

arrow_drop_up -5 arrow_drop_down

Woodside's fine for a casual glass but their list is thin, Cellar at least has proper sommelier picks even if you pay for it.

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

fair point but woodside's markup on the good stuff is just as bad

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 97 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
