their cold brew's decent but tbh i prefer the one at Verus in Khar, less acidic. if u do go, ask for it over a single big ice cube, they water it down otherwise. parking on the side lanes is a nightmare on weekends fwiw
yeah the big ice thing is real, just get it to go & walk to the sea face instead of fighting for parking
Verus does a mean single origin pour over too, worth trying if you're already there.
ask for it undiluted in a smaller cup instead, works better than the big cube trick imo
Cold brew at Kala Ghoda is better balanced, and the 5pm batch tastes fresher than the morning one.
Agreed on the balance, though I'd say the ice matters more than the batch time. Ask them to skip the default cubes and use the big rock, otherwise even the later brew tastes thin by the last third.
fair point on the ice doing more work than timing. one thing though, if ure getting it to go, carry your own steel tumbler, their lids leak like crazy on a bike. saves u a soggy walk.
the morning batch sits too long in the keg overnight so it goes flat, i've noticed that too
roastery no. 7 is in Bandra near Pali Naka, queue dies after 11am on sat so go early or skip it & hit the kala ghoda one
saturday queue's actually worse than sunday fwiw, locals do the Pali Naka brunch thing so sunday 9am is dead quiet

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly
one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.
honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
