Best sourdough near Levain & Co in Mumbai?

Visiting Mumbai next month and staying a short walk from Levain & Co. Is their bread worth planning around, and what should I get there vs other bakeries nearby? Also do they sell out early in 2026? the plain white at levain is fine but overpriced for what it is tbh. if ur walking distance anyway try the sourdough at that tiny place off perry cross lane, forget the name but its next to the old parsi dairy, crust is better & a good 80 bucks cheaper. they bake twice a day so afternoon restock is ur friend

Yazdani, go before 9

brun maska first then the bread, queue starts 8.30

yazdani's irani cafe bread is a different animal though, more bun than sourdough. if u mean their brun, grab it hot by 8 else it's just crust. for actual sourdough i'd still hit the perry cross lane spot

That tiny place is Baker's Dozen, and the afternoon bake lands around 2.30, so go then not at noon.

tbh just grab a loaf from the bakery counter at Sahakari Bhandar if ur lazy, decent enough for toast. otherwise ask whoever's at levain what day they bake, timings shift.

Sahakari Bhandar is fine for toast but nothing more, the crust goes soft by evening. Ask at the counter on a weekday morning, they're more likely to tell you the actual bake schedule than on a Sunday rush.

levain's country loaf is solid but i'd walk to kala ghoda for the seeded one at magazine wallah, and yes they're wiped by 11am on weekends

kala ghoda cafe does a decent seeded too, weekdays only

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 97 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
