Mumbai birth certificate 2026: stuck on the ward step

the ward office near marol fire station actually takes walk ins till 1pm on saturdays, way less rush than weekdays. carry the original discharge summary too, they matched it against the copy when i went & the clerk barely glanced at the attestation. also keep a xerox of ur aadhaar back to back on one page, they asked me for that separately

Marol counter shuts by noon now, went last week.

yeah they tightened it, clerk told me lunch break starts 12:30 now so last token is around 12. go early morning on a weekday instead, 10:30 types, queue moves faster before the school rush crowd

Ask for the form at the counter before you queue, they keep it behind the glass and won't hand it out otherwise. Also the Saturday crowd thins out after 11, so aim for that window.

self attested is enough at andheri east ward office, just sign each page of the discharge summary copy, no notary needed

Counter clerk at Andheri east wants it signed in blue ink, not black.

blue ink thing is real, clerk rejected my black pen copy outright. carry ur own blue pen btw, the one chained at the window was dry when i went.

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 74 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
