Getting to Mumbai Zoo by train 2026

landing at T2 around 8am and want to hit the zoo in the afternoon, is the Byculla station exit the easiest way in or should i just take a cab from the airport? also is a weekday after lunch too crowde… landing at T2 around 8am and want to hit the zoo in the afternoon, is the Byculla station exit the easiest way in or should i just take a cab from the airport? also is a weekday after lunch too crowded to actually see anything

honestly the t2 metro to aandheri then western line down to mumbai central & a short auto works too if u dont want to commit to the cab fare. weekday post lunch is fine, mostly school groups gone by 2. carry water, the stalls inside are a rip off

western line from aandheri means changing at dadar, not churchgate side, so check the platform before u board

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Byculla station exit drops you right at the zoo gate, and a weekday afternoon is genuinely quiet, mornings are the crush.

same gate as the zoo, just follow the ramp past the ticket window

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

That ramp is fine but the signage is faded, so just ask the guard, and the cloakroom by the gate takes bags if you're coming straight from T2.

yeah but skip the cab from T2, the harbor line from Wadala is way cheaper & the ramp drops u right at the gate

West exit, not east. East spits you onto the road side.

afternoons fine but the reptile house shuts 5:30 sharp

Second this, the 2pm lull is real.

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 52 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
