Disco 2000 in Mumbai 2026: still worth a night out?

For those who've been recently, what's the crowd and music like in 2026, and is it worth dragging friends across town for? I usually prefer places around Bandra over Andheri for late nights, so I'm curious if the trip is justified.

Honestly the Andheri trek only makes sense if you're doing a proper retro night with a group. Music skews 90s Bollywood and disco, crowd's mostly 25 to 35 and friendly. If you're Bandra-based, BKC spots are closer.

Yeah the group thing matters, solo it feels dead till midnight, so round up at least four people.

Fair point on BKC being closer, but those spots wind down by 1.30 while this one keeps going till 3 on Saturdays. If your group is actually into the music and not just the scene, the extra twenty minutes each way is fine.

the bathroom queue gets brutal after midnight, so plan your last drink accordingly

Weekday entry runs cheaper before 10pm and the sound system upstairs beats most retro nights I've been to.

Agreed on the upstairs sound, the low ceiling down there muddies everything. One thing worth knowing: the cover usually gets you a drink credit, so ask at the door before paying. Getting back past 1am means an Ola from Link Road, the station side is a mess.

good shout on the drink credit, saved me last time. one thing tho, the AC inside gets freezing after 2, so carry a light jacket or u'll be miserable. also the parking guy charges double if u roll in after midnight, park on the side lane instead.

Ask the door staff which DJ is on, the Friday resident plays proper disco while the guest slots drift into EDM.

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 24 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
