The Citizen Facilitation Centre at the BMC HQ in Fort can usually pull receipts by transaction ID, though Khar is under H West ward so the ward office should have it. Take your bank statement showing the debit plus the transaction ID, that's what actually moves them.

Gallery Six only handles e-seva stuff, not property tax

yep the bank statement is key, they won't budge without proof of debit. also try the e-seva centre at Bandra station road east, they sometimes pull it faster than waiting on the ward babu. carry a printout of the portal acknowledgment too.

also worth checking the payment status on the portal itself before u go anywhere, sometimes it shows "pending reconciliation" & that's why h west can't see it. if its stuck there call the 1916 helpline and get a ticket number first, saves u a trip

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Reconciliation clears in about 3 working days usually.

arrow_drop_up 18 arrow_drop_down

Portal status page updates overnight, so check it first thing.

Mine sat on that same status for over a week, so the ticket number from 1916 is what finally got someone to clear it manually.

bank statement gets it done, second this

h west actually sits in bandra east near the collector's office, not fort, so going there direct saves the cross town trip. ask for the assessment clerk not the counter guy, they can search by your upic number instead of transaction id

Assessment clerk is the right ask, but go before 11am or you'll wait till lunch, and bring a self-addressed envelope so they post the duplicate.

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 34 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
