Navigating those crazy, narrow streets on my scooter was... an experience. I swear, I saw a goat just casually strolling down the middle of the road! Anyway, I'm trying to find this legendary street food stall everyone keeps raving about, supposed to have the best pav bhaji in the whole of @Mumbai. But the directions are, shall we say, flexible. Anyone know how to actually FIND this mythical pav bhaji stand? It's driving me nuts!

The station-side one everyone mentions is probably Sardar, but there's a second contender worth knowing about. There's a guy who sets up around Ambedkar Udyan on the 60 Feet Road side, closer to the GTB Nagar bus depot end, and his bhaji has a bit more tang to it because he uses fresh tomatoes rather than the canned stuff. He's only there evenings, roughly 6:30 to 10, and he doesn't have a board so you have to look for the crowd. If you're already on the scooter, the depot side is easier to loop through than the interior lanes anyway.

If you're talking about the famous one, it's almost certainly Sardar Pav Bhaji near the GTB Nagar station side, not deep inside the lanes. The trick is to come off the main road at the station and ask for the "pav bhaji wala near the chowk" rather than the stall name, because half the people you ask will just point you in circles. Go before 8pm, after that the queue spills onto the street and you'll be standing for a good 40 minutes.

just ask a random kid on a cycle, they always know where the food is

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 16 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
