Like, the places tourists never find? I wanna try something truly authentic, not just the usual stuff they show on travel blogs. I'm hoping to avoid the tourist traps and find some hidden gems... or at least, something less obvious. Hoping for some good recommendations!

yeah so the trick is to go a bit deeper into the lanes behind the main road, not the ones with the big boards. there's this one guy who sets up a tawa fry stall around 8pm near the water tank, he does this spicy chicken and egg combo that's more like a home recipe than street food. he only makes like 20 plates a night, so you gotta be early or he's done. also, skip the fancy kulfi places, there's an aunty who sells gola ice with a secret raw mango masala right outside the temple gate, she's been there for years and it's the real summer thing. bring cash, nobody takes cards there and the atm is a bit of a walk.

Suman Nagar isn't really the street food hub people make it out to be online. The real action is a ten minute walk away, near the old municipal school on J.P. Road, where the evening thatt idli and bonda stalls set up around 6pm. Go for the woman who runs the corner pushcart with the green umbrella, her chutney has a proper kick that the flashier places skip. If you want something filling, grab the vada pav from the guy next to the pharmacy, he's been there for fifteen years and uses a softer pav than most. Just be ready to stand and eat, nobody sits around there.

Honestly the whole area gets overhyped, maybe just wander past the main stretch and follow the crowds after 9. I barely remember names, but the fried stuff near the chai stall always hits different.

I want to sell my old clothes

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
