Prakash Inn's Quirks?

The thing is, I'm a bit of a neat freak. I need to know, what's the actual state of cleanliness like? Is it spotless, acceptably clean, or... something else entirely? I'm picturing everything from perfectly ironed sheets to a slightly questionable stain on the carpet. Any insider info would be hugely appreciated before I arrive. I'm thinking it's probably fine, but honestly, a little nervous.

tbh the sheets are fine, they're crisp and laundered, i'll give them that. the real issue is the floor - it's that dark tile that shows every speck of dust, and they're not mopping it daily like a chain hotel would. if you're the type to walk barefoot in a hotel room, bring slippers

the bathroom is where u might twitch a little. the fixtures are old, like 90s era, and the shower pressure is weak which makes rinsing feel incomplete. but i've never found hair or grime in the corners, it's just dated not dirty. the towels are thin and smell heavily of bleach which is honestly reassuring

one thing nobody mentions is the staff - they're super responsive if you ask for extra cleaning. i had them redo the room once because the window sill had some pigeon dust, and the guy came up within 10 mins with a fresh cloth and spray. just ask at the front desk, they don't bite

i've stayed there a few times. the sheets are clean, but the bathroom grout is a bit iffy, not gross but not white either. they do a good job on the high touch surfaces like door handles and the remote. the real issue is the noise from the street, not the cleanliness, so bring earplugs. the location on dr. d. b. marg is unbeatable for morning walks to marine drive though

yeah the cleanliness is fine for what it is. the thing that got me was the geyser situation in my room, it took like 15 mins to heat up and then gave me like 7 mins of hot water max. if you're a neat freak who needs a proper hot shower, time it right or ask for a room on a lower floor where the pressure is better

the sheets were crisp and white when i checked in, no stains or hairs. the carpet near the window had a weird dark patch but honestly i think it was just old water damage, not anything gross. the windows themselves were clean enough to see colaba causeway from, which is the real selling point

one weird thing nobody mentions is the elevator, it's tiny and sometimes smells like leftover food from the restaurant upstairs. take the stairs if you're on the second or third floor, it's faster and you dodge the smell. the stairwell is actually cleaner than the elevator somehow

I want to sell my old clothes

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
