friseur für curly hair in berlin?🥹

The trick with curly cuts in Berlin is that a lot of the good people work out of their own small studios rather than big salons, and they book up weeks out. I've had good results with Curls & Friends in Prenzlauer Berg, Olga there does a proper Deva cut and will actually show you how to diffuse at home so you're not fighting it every morning. A cut runs about 70 euros and you'll want to book on their website because they rarely pick up the phone. If you're on a tighter budget, the Curly Hair Berlin Facebook group is worth joining, people constantly post last-minute cancellations from stylists across the city.

For curls specifically I'd look at Hair & Soul near Kollwitzplatz, they cut dry which makes a huge difference if you've got anything tighter than a 2C. Expect around 60 to 80 euros for a cut, so not cheap, but they actually understand shrinkage. If that's too far or too pricey, Salon Zina in Neukölln is a solid fallback and a bit more affordable.

I'd throw Haarmonie in Charlottenburg into the mix, specifically because they do a wet cut but finish it dry so you can see how it actually sits before you leave. Most places pick one or the other and you end up surprised at home. A cut there is around 55 euros and they don't upsell you on ten products you'll never use. Worth knowing that curly specialists in this city charge for the consultation separately sometimes, so ask when you book.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
