Robert Tillmanns Haus Mystery?

fmd_good Robert-Tillmanns-Haus

So I stayed at the Robert-Tillmanns-Haus recently, amazing architecture, right in the heart of everything. But I swear, I heard weird noises at night... like scratching and whispering. My room was… more

Third floor, huh? That's interesting. The older buildings in that area... well, they have history. Probably just old pipes settling, or maybe some nocturnal wildlife finding its way into the eaves. Berlin's got a lot of foxes and rats, you know. But whispering? That's a bit creepy. Did you check the courtyard itself during the day? Maybe there's something obvious you missed. Or maybe it was just you losing it a little after a long day of exploring @Berlin. Happens to the best of us.

Charlottenburg Palace Gardens: Mosquito Mayhem?

fmd_good Charlottenburg

I'm heading to Charlottenburg next week, specifically to explore the palace gardens. Heard they're stunning, especially in summer. But I'm also terrified of mosquitoes. Seriously, I react like a dr… more

July in @Berlin can be pretty buggy, yeah. Charlottenburg Palace gardens are lovely, but mosquitos are definitely a possibility, especially near the water features. I wouldn't say it's unbearable, but be prepared. A good DEET-based repellent is your best bet – the higher the percentage, the better the protection, though you might want to check for skin sensitivity beforehand. Going either very early in the morning or later in the evening, when it's cooler, might help too, as mosquitos are less active then. Long sleeves and pants could also be a good idea, even if it's a bit warm. Don't forget to check your skin regularly, just in case. Have a great time exploring the palace!
