Finding peace on Adele-Schreiber-Krieger-Straße?

Everyone keeps saying it's a quiet residential street, but I'm a light sleeper. Seriously considering earplugs, but I was wondering if anyone who lives there or has spent time on the street knows if there's a noticeable difference in noise levels between, say, the east and west sides, closer to the park versus further away? I'm trying to pick the perfect Airbnb and need to know where'll get me the most sleep. Any insight would be appreciated!

if ur looking at the west half near the park, watch out for the kita on the corner there. kids get dropped off starting around 7 and the parents idle with engines running the whole time. quieter than the spree side but not the dead zone people make it out to be. honestly the single best move is booking a top floor unit, footstep noise from above will wreck ur sleep way before any street sound does

A detail that gets missed in these threads is that the street sits inside the Charité's Bannmeile, which means you also get the early morning Entsorgung trucks servicing the hospital kitchens and laundry, usually between 5 and 6. Those are heavier than regular Müllabfuhr and the whole block feels them. For actual sleep, look for a flat in one of the rear Altbau wings off the Hof rather than anything street-facing, and ask the host point blank what time the courtyard gate gets unlocked, because once it's open the deliveries start. Earplugs plus a white noise app got me through three nights there last autumn.

Something nobody's touched: that street sits in a 30 zone with a lot of Kopfsteinpflaster, and cobblestones amplify tire noise way more than asphalt does. A single car at 2am sounds like a small drumroll, and it carries up to the third floor easily. If you want quiet, prioritize a unit on a stretch that's been resurfaced or one facing away from the Fahrbahn entirely, because the paving matters as much as which side you're on.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
