Any one here for Ben bohmer live?!

Anyone up to join for a ben bohmer night tomorrow? Anyone up to join for a ben bohmer night tomorrow?

oh man i saw him at the Tempodrom last year and the acoustics there are insane for his stuff. if you're going to the show at the Velodrom get there early enough to grab a spot near the middle, the sound balance gets a bit weird on the sides. also check out the little Thai place on Storkower Straße for a cheap bite before, it's like 5 mins walk and way better than the overpriced stuff at the venue

if you're going solo, the crowd at his shows is usually super friendly and easy to chat with. also the velodrom has this weird policy where you can't bring bags bigger than a4 so just bring a small crossbody or something

I've been to a couple of his shows and the live production is really tight, he does a lot of the layering on the fly. If you're heading to the Velodrom, the S-Bahn at Storkower Straße drops you right there, but the U-Bahn at Landsberger Allee is a shorter walk through the park. Grab a beer at the little Späti on the corner of Storkower and Landsberger before you go in, it'll save you a few euros.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
