Where to have a good lunch with some show?
Can anybody please suggest activity that is weather friendly with good lunch? I'm planning a birthday lunch for my sister and I wanted to do sth extra for her.

try theater dining at the restaurant in the berliner ensemble, they do a fixed lunch menu that's solid german food and you get to sit in this old art deco space that feels like a show in itself. it's on bertolt-brecht-platz, right by the u-bahn so weather doesn't matter. if she likes something more casual, the wintergarten varieté does a brunch buffet on weekends with actual circus acts on stage, around 35€ per person and you'll want to book ahead
If she's into something more interactive, the Chamäleon Theater in Mitte does a lunch-plus-show concept on Saturdays. It's a contemporary circus space, more modern than the classic varieté vibe, and the food comes from their in-house kitchen which is surprisingly good for a theater. You'd be looking at around 45€ for a three-course meal and the performance, and it's all indoors so rain or shine doesn't matter. Just reserve a table with a good view of the stage, the sightlines can be a bit tricky from the back.
have u checked out the tipi am kanzleramt place? it's a tent by the river with live jazz during lunch and the menu changes seasonally. good for a birthday if she likes something a bit quirky but still fancy
What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?
Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.
if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point
honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
