Any non techno queer parties?

Schwuz is too campy and a weird space. Is there something in between that isn't just techno but more variety of music and people? Usually the parties in berlin are all advertised with more variety of music and queer inclusive messaging but in my experience compared to other big cities they are all the same. Same music, same people, same drugs.

Don't mean to sounds negative but any tips I am curious

Have you looked at what ://about blank does outside of their main techno floor? Their Kiki House of Pain nights in the smaller room lean into ballroom and vogue, and the crowd is way more mixed than the standard club night. Also, the bier himmel at Bohnengold on a Tuesday is dead simple - outdoor bar, cheap drinks, a DJ playing soul and 80s pop, and the queer crowd there is mostly locals who just want to hang without the club ritual.

Honestly, you're describing most of the scene here tbh. Have you tried Tipsy Bear in Friedrichshain? It's small and scrappy, not a club, but their queer nights lean way more into punk and indie rock and they're super mixed crowd-wise. Also, check out the "Pornceptual" offshoots that aren't at KitKat, they sometimes do smaller warehouse things with 90s house and r&b rooms, way less of the G-fueled vibe. The door policy at Schwuz is a nightmare, I get it, but Silver Future at Mensch Meier on a Sunday afternoon is the complete opposite - chill older crowd, no techno, just disco and funk.

yeah i feel u on this, the "queer party" label here gets slapped on anything with a rainbow flag and a dark room. have u tried the morning glory parties at about blank? they're on sunday afternoons so it's a totally different vibe, mostly older queers and lesbians, music jumps from funk to 80s pop to house, no techno. also check out xberg's cafe queer nights, like the ones at supamolly or red ramona, they're not club parties but more of a hang with a dj in the corner, very mixed crowd and no pressure to be on anything

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
