Berlin venues with obscure / experimental electronic music that isn't house or techno?

I absolutely love house and techno, but I also like to explore more obscure and experimental genres that don't draw the big crowds. Examples would include juke/footwork, industrial, ambient, power electronics, halftime drum & bass, Detroit electro, UK/deep dubstep, cinematic electronic, and acid breakbeat, However, I am not limited to those styles. Basically I am interested in hearing as many different electronic sounds as possible. I am open to hearing performances in theaters and art spaces as well as nightclubs. Can anyone recommend venues, promoters, or musicians that I should look into?

For the more extreme and experimental side, Tresor's sub-label events at OHM are worth watching, but also check what's happening at about blank on the outskirts. They have a relaxed door policy and sometimes book really off-kilter live acts in their smaller room, like power electronics or industrial noise sets. If you're into halftime DnB and cinematic stuff, the scene around the open-air at Else tends to have some crossover, and you can often catch sets from local producers like Shed or FJAAK testing out non-4/4 material. For a proper deep dive, the Berghain Kantine bar occasionally hosts experimental nights that are way less crowded than the main floor.

check out OHM in prenzlauer berg, they do a lot of weirder stuff like industrial and noise nights, sometimes live sets too. for the footwork/juke side keep an eye on Mensch Meier, they have the occasional night that breaks from the usual 4/4. also berlin is big on venue hopping so look up the CTM festival program even if you're not here during it, their year-round events are usually at places like silent green or radialsystem and lean experimental.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
