Where to get an IUD with anesthesia here in Berlin?

I am a woman with a very low pain tolerance and because I've been on the pill for 7 years, I recognize that it increases my chance of getting blood clots so I'm thinking about getting a hormonal IUD.… I am a woman with a very low pain tolerance and because I've been on the pill for 7 years, I recognize that it increases my chance of getting blood clots so I'm thinking about getting a hormonal IUD.

Unfortunately Google hasn't been helpful, nor have I found any answers on Reddit. Any suggestions?

Yeah that's a tough one. I'd also recommend checking out the pro familia Beratungsstelle in Mitte, they're not a standard gyn practice but they do IUD insertions with local anesthesia and really take their time with nervous patients. You might have to explain your situation on the phone first though.

tbh most gynaekologists here won't offer full anesthesia for an IUD insertion, it's just not standard. but praxis dr. kuhn in friedrichshain near frankfurter tor will do it with local anaesthetic injections if you ask upfront, they're pretty chill about it. also check out the sexual health clinic at urban krankenhaus, they sometimes do twilight sedation for nervous patients but you gotta call and really advocate for yourself. bring a friend to hold your hand and take the rest of the day off, the cramping afterward is real even with meds

honestly if you want full sedation your best bet is going private. try praxis dr. meissner in charlottenburg near wilmersdorfer str, they do IUD insertions under short anesthesia but it costs around 200-300 euro out of pocket. not covered by public insurance unless you have a documented medical reason like vaginismus or severe anxiety. also worth checking frauenarztpraxis am kudamm, they offer dämmerschlaf (twilight sleep) for insertions but you gotta book way in advance like 3-4 months. the waiting times are annoying but the procedure itself is over in like 10 minutes and you won't remember a thing

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
