honestly at 17 your best move is finding the free parties that pop up along the spree or in tempelhofer feld, proper clubs won't let you in. check the "tba" or "secret location" posts on resident advisor's event page for tonight, sometimes they list open airs that are all ages until midnight. bring like 10-15 euro cash for drinks and a cheap burner phone if u have one, people share locations last minute on telegram channels and u don't want ur main number floating around

At 17 you're going to have a tough time getting into most proper clubs here, they're strict about ID and 18+. Your best bet is looking for open-air or park parties that aren't at a venue. Volkspark Friedrichshain often has spontaneous gatherings, and along the Spree near Schlesisches Tor there are usually smaller groups meeting up. Bring cash and check Telegram groups like "Berlin Rave" or "Techno Berlin" for last-minute locations posted tonight.

the kitkat and berghain crowd is gonna be a no-go for sure, they check IDs at the door. but there's usually something going on in the area around warschauer strasse, like under the bridge near the river or in the little park by the raw temple. some of those parties don't bother with age checks if it's late enough and you look like you belong. bring a few beers from a späti beforehand cause drinks at these things can be pricey if they sell any at all

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
