Any recommendations that don't break the bank but feel better than simple karton cards maybe with a subtle texture?

honestly check out Druckerei in Weissensee, they do nice spot UV on 400g paper that feels way more premium than it costs. i think it's like 30 euro for 100 cards if you bring your own pdf

for texture you want something with a linen finish or maybe a soft-touch lamination, both feel a lot better than standard matte. Flyeralarm is the obvious budget option but their quality control can be hit or miss, better to go somewhere you can actually touch the samples first

there's also a small shop near Warschauer called Copyland that does quick runs with decent paper options, not the fanciest but good for a first batch. just ask to feel their 350g uncoated stock before you order

If you're near Friedrichshain, check out die Druckerei on Boxhagener Straße. They let you flip through their paper swatches in person and their 350g Naturpapier has a nice toothy texture that feels handmade. I've had a few batches done there and the registration on the foil stamping was spot on. Just bring your file on a USB stick and they'll print while you wait if it's not busy.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
