It's been crazy few weeks with the pollen allergies. I am on citrizine, pollival nasselspray and masking up constantly when I'm out.

It flares up in the middle of the day and then constantly around for a day then subsides and comes up. The cycle is just crazy!

Is any one else facing the same (I'm sure are!). What are the remedies you'll using?

PS: I know there were threads around this before but looking for solutions specifically for this season, since it's gone crazy for me.

The birch pollen has been brutal this year, way earlier than usual. I've found that switching to levocetirizine instead of regular cetirizine made a noticeable difference for me, less drowsy too. Also worth checking the hourly pollen count on the Berliner Morgenpost site before planning your day, it's more reliable than the general forecasts. If you're near a pharmacy, ask them about AllergoEye eye drops, they help with the midday flare ups when the mask gets unbearable.

yeah it's been a nightmare honestly, i switched to rinsing my sinuses with a neti pot in the morning and it's helped more than i expected, plus i keep the windows shut even when it's nice out

honestly yeah it's been awful this year, i've been doing the same routine plus washing my face and changing my shirt when i get home, seems to help break the cycle a bit

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
