one thing the guide doesn't mention is that the craft market on calle del comercio has a back room in the shop at number 22 where a family weaves rebozos on floor looms. they'll let you watch for a few minutes if you ask nicely, and the shawls are half the price of the ones out front since they're seconds. also, the bus route 7 runs right past the cerro verde trailhead and drops you a block from the night market, so you can do both in one afternoon without needing a taxi

the old town is great but honestly the bell tower is worth paying the extra 10 cny to go up to the top level, the view over the whole canal network is way better than from the ground. if you have time after the museum, there's a small temple just behind it on wenhua lane that most tourists skip, it's free and has these really old stone carvings that are kinda hidden in the back courtyard. for the bamboo trail, start early if you can, like 6:30, i did it last fall and had the whole place to myself for the first hour, magical with the mist

One thing I'd add is that the Yutan Museum of History has a free audio guide if you ask at the front desk, most people miss it and the English version is decent. If you're up for it, the Bamboo Trail in the forest park connects to a shorter loop near the east gate that takes about 45 minutes and has a small waterfall, quieter than the main trail.
this is a really well thought out itinerary, i'd say you nailed the pacing. one thing i'd swap is day 2 lunch at the art center cafe, it's fine but the food court in the basement of the shopping plaza has a stall that does these amazing hand-pulled noodles with chongqing spices for like 18 cny, way more authentic and the portions are huge. also for day 3, if you're doing the bamboo trail, there's a little side path about halfway through marked with a red flag that leads to an old pavilion overlooking the valley, most people walk right past it and the view is better than the main lookout point
