ngl this is a solid plan for 3 days, u covered the main stuff. one thing i'd add is that the Yunfu Night Market on Yingbin Road gets packed by 7pm, so if u want a quieter dinner go closer to 6pm or grab a seat early. also, the Panlong Cave is cool but the lighting inside is dim in spots, watch ur step.
for day 2, the Stone City is huge and u can easily spend 2 hours there, but dont skip the smaller shops across the street for better deals on tea pets. i got a nice little marble frog for 8 yuan after haggling, way cheaper than the main showroom prices.
if u have extra time on day 3, the Yunkai Mountain hike has a hidden waterfall about 20 min off the main trail near the second temple. its not marked well, just follow the sound of water. bring a small flashlight cause the path gets shady.

for day 2, the Yunfu Tea House you mentioned is good but they charge 20 yuan for the Wuyi rock tea if you sit in the private room, stick to the main hall for the 15 yuan pot. the owner's daughter speaks some english and can explain the tea ceremony if you ask.
honestly the Yunkai Mountain entry fee is 50 yuan but if you show up before 8am the ticket booth is often unmanned and you can just walk in. i did that last spring and had the whole trail to myself until about 9. the waterfall near the second temple is worth the detour but the path gets slippery after rain, watch for moss.

Downtown is fine for convenience but Luoding feels more like actual life happening around you.
One thing the guide misses is that the bus from downtown to Luoding takes about an hour and costs 15 RMB, but the last one leaves around 7pm. I missed it once and had to pay 80 RMB for a Didi back, so plan accordingly. Also, the Longshan Temple area has a small hiking trail that goes up the hill behind it, free to walk and gives you a good view of the whole county.
honestly the guide undersells the food scene in downtown yunfu. there's a wonton place on yingbin road, like a 5 min walk from wanda plaza, that's been there for like 20 years. their wontons are handmade and the broth is super rich, costs like 12 RMB for a big bowl. it's not on any map but it's where i go every time im back
also if you're staying in the new district, skip the hotel breakfast and walk to the morning market on yuncheng avenue. you can get fresh soy milk and youtiao for like 5 RMB total. the crowne plaza breakfast is 88 RMB and honestly not worth it compared to that
one thing nobody mentions is the cab situation late at night. after midnight, didi can take 15-20 mins to find a driver in yunfu, especially in the new district or yunan county. if youre out late downtown, just walk to the main road and flag down a taxi, they cruise around more than the app suggests
The guide nails it with the New District being quieter, but I'd add that the Crowne Plaza there has a solid afternoon tea setup in the lobby lounge, around 68 RMB per person, which is a nice break if you're tired of street food. For a change of pace, try the hotpot places on Chengxi Road near the old textile factory, they do a lamb-based broth that's hard to find elsewhere in town. One thing I noticed staying downtown is that the Wanda Plaza area gets packed on weekends, so if you want a calmer dinner, head a few blocks east to the side streets near the Yunfu Museum for smaller family-run restaurants with better prices.
