For something the guide missed, try the shaobing (baked flatbread) from the morning cart at the corner of Yuejin Road and Weizhou, they stuff it with spiced beef and it's only 5 CNY, perfect with the beef soup. Laoweifang is solid but their braised pork belly sells out by 7 PM most nights, so go early if that's what you're after.
