honestly just wander around the old city area near zhongshan road around dinner time, that whole stretch has these tiny stalls selling jianbing and shaobing that are way better than the tourist traps. my go-to is a place called lao wang jianbing by the xinhua market, they do a version with extra egg and crispy wonton skin inside that's incredible for like 6 yuan
also don't sleep on the beef noodle soup at yun he noodles off jianshe street, it's a no-frills spot but the broth is rich and they give u a ton of meat. probly the best bowl i've had outside of lanzhou itself

solid itinerary, covers the essentials without overdoing it. one thing i'd mention is that the Hebei Museum's Mancheng Han tomb exhibit is incredible but the lighting in some rooms is really dim, especially around the jade burial suits. bring your phone flashlight or you'll be squinting at the displays.
for the Zhengding Ancient City part, the free entry is great but the inner temples like the Kaiyuan Temple and the Linji Temple each charge separate fees around 20 yuan. worth it imo, the Kaiyuan one has a massive iron lion from the Tang dynasty that's pretty unique. also the walk from the metro station to the ancient city is about 20 minutes through a kind of boring new development area, you can grab a shared bike for 1 yuan if you're tired.
