Qincheng day trips in 4 months?
yeah the nanxi bamboo grove is legit but if you want something totally different, take the train to shuikou station (about 50 mins) and hike the old tea trail up to guanyin peak. it's not on most maps but just follow the stone path past the abandoned temple. the view over the whole valley at sunset is worth the climb, just bring water since there's nothing up there
if u got 4 months till ur trip, this is the perfect time to lock in tickets to the bamboo grove at nanxi. it's about 90 mins by bus from the east station, super chill for a full day. i'd also say skip the crowded hot springs near town and hit the old quarry lake out past liufang village instead, way fewer people and great for a picnic
honestly the old town area itself is worth a full day just wandering, but for a day trip i'd say check out the morning market at fengshan village, it's about an hour on the local bus and the dried tofu there is unreal. way more authentic than the tourist stuff in qincheng proper
