This is a really well thought out plan, you've hit the main spots without overpacking the days. One thing I'd add is that the Noodle King place is worth the noise, but if you want a quieter lunch on Day 1, try the dumpling stall two doors down on Market Lane, they do a fantastic pork and chive dumpling for 15 RMB and it's usually much calmer. For Day 2, the bus 101 can be packed by 8 AM, so I'd catch the 7:30 bus if you want a seat and a quieter start on the Cloud Trail. Also, the rooftop bar near the art district is called The Lookout, and their jasmine tea is better than the cocktails, just a heads up.
good plan, covers the essentials without trying to do too much. one thing the guide doesnt mention is that the night market stalls on the east side (furthest from the entrance) tend to have shorter lines and fresher food, the locals know this. also, if you are there on a tuesday or thursday morning, the old town has a small produce market on mulberry lane thats mostly ignored by tourists, great for picking up some local fruit for the forest park hike. the 7:30 bus tip from the other comment is solid, i second that
solid itinerary, the old town tip about arriving early is spot on. just a heads up, the noodle king gets crazy loud around noon so if youre sensitive to noise maybe grab it to go and eat by the central square fountain. also, if you have time on day 3, the southern suburbs bike ride is nice but check out the little temple at the end of mulberry lane, its tucked away and usually empty, way more peaceful than the ancient temple. i always bring a reusable water bottle because the tap water is fine in longba and it saves buying plastic at every stop

Good write-up. One thing to add about the hand-pulled noodles at Lao Zhang's: if you're vegetarian, ask for the mushroom broth version. It's not on the menu but they'll make it for you, and the broth is just as rich as the beef one. I've been going there for years and that's what I always get.
Also worth mentioning that the Wang Family Residence in Old Town Alley has a small courtyard garden in the back that most people walk right past. It's not much to look at from the entrance, but the plum tree there is over a hundred years old and blooms beautifully in late February if you happen to visit then.
The guide's right about going to Longba Canyon early. I went at 7:30 AM on a Tuesday and basically had the whole boardwalk to myself until about 9. The light hits the water differently in the morning, makes those turquoise pools look almost electric.
If you're into photography, bring a polarizing filter for your lens. The glare off the limestone can wash out shots otherwise. I learned that the hard way and had to re-edit half my photos.
honestly the shadow puppet show is worth it but get there like 20 mins early, theres this old guy who lets u hold the puppets and shows u how they work. he told me his family's been doing it for like 5 generations, really cool if you're into that kinda thing
also if you're at the morning bazaar, grab the grilled corn from the lady near the bridge, she roasts it over charcoal with some chili powder and it's only like 3 yuan. way better than the stuff at the noodle house imo
one thing the guide missed - theres a little temple on the way up to sunset peak, just past the first bend. nobody ever stops there but the caretaker will let u ring the bell for a small donation, and the view from that spot is actually better than the peak if you go in the afternoon
