Budgeting for Kaiyuan trip in 4 months
The rice noodle shops on Renmin Road, near the pedestrian bridge, are where most locals eat breakfast. You'll get a bowl with braised pork for about 10 yuan and it keeps you full until lunch. For dinner, the street food stalls set up around 5pm by the South Gate sell grilled fish and skewers, and 30 yuan is plenty for a meal with a beer. If you're taking the bus to the hot springs, route 7 goes right to the main entrance and costs 1 yuan. I'd budget closer to 120-150 yuan per day if you want to eat well and see a couple of things without counting every coin.
honestly for Kaiyuan you can get by pretty cheap if you stick to local spots. budget around 80-100 yuan a day for food if you hit the street stalls near the old market, the noodle soups are like 8-12 yuan and super filling. transport is mostly walking or cheap buses, maybe 10 yuan a day if you go far. for sights the hot springs are the main draw, some entry fees are 30-50 yuan but you dont need to do one every day. i'd say 150-200 yuan a day is comfortable for a decent mix without stressing
