nice itinerary, covers all the big ones. for day 3, if you're heading to wula mountain, try to hit the temple up there first thing, like 7am if you can. the light filtering through the trees is gorgeous and it's dead quiet, feels like you have the whole place to yourself. also, the farmhouse restaurants near the park are hit or miss, i usually go for the one with a red lantern out front, they do a solid braised pork. for the rime island ferry, check the schedule at the dock the night before, the times change a lot in winter depending on ice conditions.
I've done this exact route a few times and the timing on Day 1 is spot on, the museum really does close at 4:30 sharp so don't let the free admission fool you into showing up late. For Day 2, the Henan Street Night Market gets packed around 7 PM, I'd suggest going at 5:45 right when the stalls are setting up, you can watch them fire up the grills and grab the first batch of grilled cold noodles before the crowd hits. Also, the sugar-coated hawthorn sticks are everywhere but the best ones come from the lady with the blue cart near the middle of the market, she candies them fresh and they're still warm.
great itinerary, really captures what makes jilin special. one thing you might wanna consider for day 1 is skipping the confucius temple if you're short on time, it's nice but kinda small and the museum is way more interesting. i spent an hour there last winter and the rime ice exhibits are seriously cool, they have this old black and white footage of the river freezing that's wild to see.
for the night market on day 2, the grilled cold noodles are a must but honestly the best thing there is the fried tofu skin skewers from the auntie near the north entrance. she's been there for like 15 years and her sauce is legit, just be ready for a line. also the souvenirs are mostly mass produced crap, skip the keychains and grab some dried fish from one of the old guys selling them, they make great gifts.
on day 3, if you're doing wula mountain and rime island in one day that's gonna be tight, the ferry schedule is unpredictable and sometimes it just doesn't run if the ice is bad. i'd swap rime island for a late afternoon walk along the river near the wenmiao bridge, the rime there is just as good and you don't have to deal with the ferry hassle. plus the sunset light hits different there.

yeah the cable car to longtan is worth it but if you're up for a hike there's a trail that starts behind the temple and goes up to this old watchtower. takes about 40 minutes and the view from the top is way better than the cable car platform. just watch your step in winter, the steps get icy.
also for the museum, they have a small section on the russian railway workers who lived here in the early 1900s. not many people know about it but the old photos of the station and the church are pretty cool. its in the back corner of the second floor, easy to miss.
the rime ice thing is spot on, just dont bother going if the temp is above -10c or the frost wont stick. i check the weather the night before and only go if its gonna be properly cold.
winter rime is the main draw but if youre here in summer theres a totally different vibe. the songhua river has these evening boat cruises for like 30 yuan that go past the bridges all lit up, its way nicer than walking the promenade. they leave from the dock near wenhua square around 7pm and theres a guy selling roasted sweet potatoes on the pier that pairs perfect with the cold beer they sell onboard.
for the museum theres a tiny map room on the third floor showing how the city looked in the 1930s with all the japanese buildings marked. theres a faded photo of the old railway hotel that used to stand where the donglaoshun hot pot place is now. spend 5 minutes there its easy to miss but gives you context for walking around town later.
the ski resort is decent but if you want cheaper skiing theres a smaller hill at beidahu about 45 minutes north. day pass is 120 yuan and its less crowded on weekends. the rental gear is older but the runs are longer, plus theres a noodle shack at the base that does a mean beef soup for 15 yuan.
the hot pot tip is good but honestly the real move is going to the muslim quarter near the north market for lamb skewers and hand-pulled noodles. there's a place called xibei on heping road that does this cumin lamb noodle soup for like 25 yuan and it's the best thing on a cold night. also if you're at the museum check out the old photos of the russian quarter from the 1920s, there's a whole block of those buildings still standing on songjiang road that nobody talks about but they're gorgeous in the snow
