yeah the guide's pretty spot on but one thing it missed is the cold noodle spots near beishan park, there's this tiny place called naengmyeon hut on the side street just east of the park entrance. their buckwheat noodles in icy broth are insane in summer, like 12 CNY a bowl and they give u free kimchi refills. also if u hit up jiefang road food street late, the grilled corn vendors are worth it, they char it over actual coals not gas flame, way better flavor

nice itinerary, covers all the big ones. for day 3, if you're heading to wula mountain, try to hit the temple up there first thing, like 7am if you can. the light filtering through the trees is gorgeous and it's dead quiet, feels like you have the whole place to yourself. also, the farmhouse restaurants near the park are hit or miss, i usually go for the one with a red lantern out front, they do a solid braised pork. for the rime island ferry, check the schedule at the dock the night before, the times change a lot in winter depending on ice conditions.

great itinerary, really captures what makes jilin special. one thing you might wanna consider for day 1 is skipping the confucius temple if you're short on time, it's nice but kinda small and the museum is way more interesting. i spent an hour there last winter and the rime ice exhibits are seriously cool, they have this old black and white footage of the river freezing that's wild to see.
