The hotel registration slip alone won't carry you past the visa free window, you'll need the rental contract plus the landlord's property certificate and their ID copy. That's where most applications stall at the counter: landlords who can't produce the fangchanzheng. Around Xijie Bar the smaller landlords often rent informally, so ask before signing whether they'll register the lease with the police station.

juzhuzheng is the landlord's business license, not yours, so ask for a copy of that plus their shenfenzheng before handing over any deposit.

Worth adding that landlords near the old tin mine housing blocks often only have a handwritten lease, which gets refused outright.

Handwritten ones need a stamp from the neighborhood committee too, or they bounce.

One thing to add: get the landlord to come with you to the counter, since a no-show landlord is often what sinks the application on the spot.

id double check the fangchanzheng covers residential use, commercial certs get bounced & police station registration happens before u apply

Nobody ever mentions the temporary residence registration you get from the police station after each hotel or address change. Get that stamped before you touch the exit entry bureau, because missing slips get bounced at the counter more than any contract issue does.

idk that vietnamese name for a place in gejiu is odd, most spots round the tin district go by chinese names. the old tin area sits up on the hill so walking anywhere means stairs, grab a cab for a few yuan instead. order the stir fried noodles & skip anything fried
