solid guide, you really nailed the street food section. bay road night market is great but i'd add that the stinky tofu at stall 17 is way better than stall 8's fried squid - the owner's been there like 15 years and ferments his own brine. also grandma's kitchen is legit but they run out of twice-cooked pork by 7pm most nights so go early for dinner. one thing missing is the cold noodles at li's noodle shack on 9 wenhua street, it's just a cart but their sesame sauce is homemade and only 8 yuan a bowl, open from 11am til they sell out around 2pm.
live near bayi road and honestly the night market's best kept secret is the old guy at the very end who does grilled tofu skin wrapped around pickled veggies, 3 yuan each and he's been there since like 2008. also if you're at grandma's kitchen for lunch get there right at 11:30 or the queue hits 20 minutes, but the owner's wife sometimes gives out free samples of their pickled radish while you wait. one thing the guide missed is the cold jelly noodles at the corner of renmin and wenhua, just a cart with a red umbrella, 6 yuan a bowl and the chili oil is insane

I'd add that Laomian Guan's beef noodle soup is great but their dry-tossed noodles with chopped chili are actually the hidden gem there, 15 yuan and comes out faster since they're not waiting on broth to boil. Also worth mentioning that Tea Garden Teahouse lets you bring your own snacks if you buy a pot of tea, so you can grab some tangyuan nearby and sit there for an hour without anyone batting an eye. The only thing I'd disagree with is avoiding the main square entirely - there's a couple of stalls on the east side that do proper liangpi for 8 yuan, you just have to walk past the overpriced ones to find them.

yo this is a solid plan honestly. one thing i'd add is that the ancient town gets packed by 10am even on weekdays, so get there right at 8 if u want those quiet street shots. also skip the stinky tofu at the night market and grab the grilled fish from the stall closest to the metro exit, it's way better and only 15 kuai.
for day 2, the steel museum is cool but the real gem is the old workers' dormitory block behind it. no signage but locals hang laundry there and the graffiti is insane. just walk past the main building and take the alley to your left.
one more thing: the bus to tiaodeng on route 487 can be unreliable in the afternoon, last time i waited 40 mins. take the 225 to the main road and catch a minibus from there, they run every 10 mins and cost 5 yuan. the noodle shops at the town entrance are all good but the second one from the left does a mean beef noodle for 18 kuai.
ngl this guide is pretty comprehensive, you clearly know the area. one thing i'd swap is that jinjiang inn near the station - the rooms are fine but the street noise can be bad even on higher floors. i stayed at the home inn on yucai road last time, it's about 250 a night but way quieter and a 10 minute walk to the night market
for day 2, the art factory 1919 is cool but the cafe on the second floor makes a terrible coffee tbh. skip it and walk two blocks north to bean & leaf on jianshe road, they do a solid pour over for 25 kuai and the owner used to work at a shop in shanghai
the tiaodeng bus thing is real, i waited 45 minutes once. what i do now is take the 225 to the roundabout and flag down one of the white minivans that go up there, they charge 8 yuan and leave when full which is usually within 5 minutes. the waterfall is nice but go after a rainy day, otherwise it's just a trickle
This is a really thorough plan, you've done your homework. One thing I'd add for Day 1 is that the museum inside the ancient town is tiny, you'll be through it in 20 minutes. I'd spend that extra time wandering the side alleys off Zhengyi Street instead, there's a small temple with a 300-year-old gingko tree that most tourists miss.
For Day 2, if you're into photography, the riverside park at sunset is the best spot in Dadukou. The light hits the old industrial smokestacks across the river and turns them gold. The boat rental is worth it but they only take cash, so keep some 10s and 20s handy.
Your Day 3 bus plan is fine but I've had better luck just taking the metro to the end of Line 2 and grabbing a taxi from there, it's about 25 yuan and saves the headache of waiting. The noodle shop tip is spot on, that second one from the left has been there since the 90s.
