Best time to visit Riverside Park in Beijing 2026?
I've only been through the east gate once, but the bike parking there was half empty on a Sunday afternoon. The shuttle from the subway stop is weekday only as far as I know, so don't count on it weekends. Fwiw mornings before 9 are still the calmest.

that lines up with what the driver told me, they pulled it when the east gate bike parking opened. the 专2 bus still drops u near the north entrance if u need a backup
Weekday mornings the bike racks fill up by 8:30, so if you're rolling in after 9 on a Tuesday you'll be circling for a spot.

Mornings are the only time I bother with the racks. The 8:30 fill up matches what I saw on a Thursday in April, and the overflow spills along the north fence past the snack kiosk.
yeah half empty on a Sunday tracks, that's the one quiet day. sat afternoons the lot is full by 2 and the west gate racks are worse. honestly late afternoon any day is still worse than your early rides.
saturday afternoons are brutal but honestly the last couple saturdays felt calmer than last year, maybe people are scared off by the parking

basement food court still beats the upper floor restaurants on price, a bowl of noodles runs about 28 kuai vs 45 upstairs. quality dipped a bit since the renovation though. if u want the real deal walk 10 min to the hutong spots off chaoyangmenwai, cheaper & better tbh
Fair point on the hutong spots, though Chaoyangmenwai is more like 15 minutes on foot, not 10. Quality did slip after the renovation, but the dumpling stall in the corner is still solid for the price.

the shengjian bao place two alleys past the embassy gate is the one worth the walk, skip the noodle shops on the main drag

Prices upstairs slipped past 45 since spring, so the gap's wider now, but the stalls past the chaoyangmenwai embassy row are still cheaper and better.
