if you're into photography the bronze museum has this one room on the third floor where the afternoon light hits the bronze bells just right, around 2 to 3 pm. the shadows make the inscriptions pop like u can actually read them without a guide. most people rush through that section but it's worth lingering
for a cheap meal try the breakfast market near the east gate of people's park around 7 am. there's a couple making jianbing with this crispy cracker inside instead of the usual dough, 6 rmb and they wrap it in parchment paper like a little present. way better than the hotel breakfasts
the bronze museum really is incredible, but heads up that the free admission line can get long on weekends. i'd suggest going right when it opens at 9am on a tuesday or wednesday if u can swing it, way less crowded and u can take ur time with the he zun
for a real local experience skip the tourist spots on jing'er road and walk a block over to xinmin lane for dinner. there's a tiny spot called zhang's kitchen that does the best liangpi i've had in the city, like 8 rmb a bowl and they make the noodles fresh right in front of u
also if ur doing taibai mountain in may or june bring a light jacket even if it's warm in the city. the temp drops a lot at the summit and the wind can be brutal up there, learned that the hard way lol
fwiw the famen temple tip is solid but skip the main museum hall if ur short on time. the underground palace where they found the relic is way more interesting, it's in a separate building behind the main pagoda and most tour groups miss it. also the bus from baoji station takes like 90 mins not 120, they run every 45 mins on weekdays
for getting around the didi thing is true but make sure u have the app set to baoji not xi'an, i made that mistake once and ended up waiting for a car that was 3 hours away lol. taxis are fine for short trips but negotiate the price before u get in if ur going outside the city center

one thing this guide skips is that the bronze museum does have free entry on certain holidays, i think it's like may day and national day, so check the calendar if you're flexible. also for day 3, there's a direct bus from famen temple to the west baoji bus station that takes you right near the train station, saves you backtracking through the city center. the temple's tea house out back serves a decent osmanthus tea for 15 rmb, nice spot to rest before the ride home
honestly this is a solid plan, i've done pretty much this exact route before. one thing i'd add for day 2 - if you're not super fit, take the cable car up and then hike down instead of going both ways. the views are way better on foot and your knees will thank you later. also the bus to mount taibai can get packed on weekends, i'd grab a taxi if you can split it with someone, it's not that much more.
for the night market on day 1, try the liangpi (cold noodles) from the stall near the south entrance, it's the one with the red lanterns. costs like 8 RMB and it's way better than the touristy stuff in the middle. also the bronze museum is worth every yuan but ngl the audio guide is kinda boring, just read the plaques.
yeah solid itinerary, one thing i'd flag is that day 2 on mount taibai is no joke even with the cable car. the altitude hit me harder than i expected, i'd say bring some ibuprofen just in case and pace yourself on the way up. also if you're there on a clear day the view from the top is unreal, you can see the whole wei river valley stretching out
